Look what Mommy did to us!

Poor Kids. Mommy bought their first matching outfits and dressed them up. Don't they look so cute??

Kimmy and Kathryn come to visit

Cousins Kimmy and Kathryn came to visit and the kids had a ball. We went to a museum where the girls did a "great job" painting their own faces. They also had fun pretending to be pirates and playing in the water.

Happy Halloween!

Jack and Elise had a great Halloween. They both had fun carving pumpkins although Jack wasn't too sure about touching the "pumpkin guts". They both pretty big stashes of treats on Halloween night that Mommy and Daddy will enjoy helping them eat. Jack got to eat his first lollipop and he is now officially addicted to sweets.

Jack's first hair cut

So, it was finally time for Jack to become a "big boy". Mommy was very sad to see the baby hair go. Jack was not very happy it about either. Mommy had to hold Jack's head when the lady brought out the electric clippers. Poor Jack. He sure looks cute though!

Elise's first day of school!

Elise is officially a BIG girl. She is not so sure of this fact though and often says on her way to school, "But mommy, I'm still little." She started school last Thursday and is doing very well. She cried 5 minutes the first day and only about a minute the second day. She loves her teachers and runs to sit in their lap when we walk into the classroom. Mommy and daddy are very proud of how well she is doing!

Happy 1st Birthday Jack!

Jack had a great first birthday. He enjoyed his cake as you can see by the pictures. He probably would have eaten it until he got sick. Mommy and Daddy finally had to intervene. I guess he has a sweet tooth like his mommy. He got a walker wagon from his Grandad that he had fun pushing his sister in. He gets to celebrate his birthday again this weekend with more family. Happy birthday little Jack!!

Jack (still) almost walking!

Jack is still very close to walking . He can take a couple of steps on his own but gets then gets nervous and sits down. He can walk for a long time when he is pushing something. He loves to push his sister in the toy stroller. Check out this movie to see Jack pushing Elise in the stroller.

The Pacifier Fairy Comes to Call

Somehow, we actually succeeded in convincing Elise that is was time to let her most beloved of friends, "Ma", be taken by fairies in the night, in exchange for cash. It was so sad as we helped her get them all together and put them under her pillow. She asked that none of the baby fairies be allowed to use the pacifiers when they got back to fairy land. Elise was very brave but is still pretty anxious around bed time. The other side effect of "Ma" leaving is that she no longer sleeps in, happily spending time with her pacifier and blanket, until we get her in the morning. Instead, she gets up around 7:00, dresses herself, and then comes and wakes us up. So, we really miss "Ma" as much as she does.
