Eliza's first art class

Eliza started an art class today with her buddy Ava. They were supposed to paint a tree with fall colors. She did a great job painting her tree for all of two minutes. As I stood back to take a picture she decided to practice her face painting skills. Here are some pics.

Fall soccer

Elise and Jack are both playing soccer this fall. Elise's team is the White Tigers and Jack's is the Red Dragons. Jack made his first goal last week and Elise had an awesome assist this week. The coach called her and another girl the MVP's of the game. Elise was very proud of herself.

So Eliza has officially gone from walking to climbing on everything in a matter of weeks. She loves to climb chairs, toys, strollers, the dishwasher and gets into just about everything. Oh, the joys of a toddler.

Back to school

Elise and Jack both started back to school this month. Jack is going to be in preschool three days a week and Elise is going to be in the first grade! Wow, time sure does fly. They were both happy on their first days and didn't shed any tears. They had such a great time playing with each other over the summer that they were sad to leave each other. I think that was the hardest part for both of them. Here are some pictures from their first days.

Trip to Grandma Mary's

Elise, Jack and the fam went to visit Grandma Mary and Pat in PA. While we were there we got to hang out with Elmer and Barbie. They are Amish friends of Mary. The kids had a blast checking out the animals and going on a buggy ride. Rob went fishing with Elmer and caught a big catfish. We also made a trip to Dutch Wonderland and were guided around the park by Pat. Elise rode her first roller coaster while we were there.

Playing "hockey" from church

Daddy and Jack found an air hockey table in a back room at church. Needless to say, Jack wasn't going to be quiet in church after he saw that table. Luckily, it was put away the next Sunday. He was actually pretty good.

Hula Hoop Extravaganza

We met Mimi at Weaver Street to listen to some music. Elise, Jack and their cousin Grace had a ball playing with the Hula Hoops. Elise amazed us all with her impressive hooping skills. Check out her video below. Even Jack took a go at it. Mimi topped it all off with her hand hooping abilities. Way to go Mimi!!
